What happens after I retain Kerr Law Group as my attorney?
Once you retain the services of Kerr Law Group, we begin representing you in your matter. At that point, the Firm will begin compiling your file for the attorney to review. Afterward, the attorney will decide what steps are necessary to move your case forward.
I’ve scheduled a consult with Firm. What happens next?
Prior to the date of your consultation, you should be sure to have a few things with you. You will need to have the consultation fee, in the total amount of $200, with you at the time of your consultation. You should bring a recent tax return, W-2’s, pay stubs, and other documents you believe might be helpful. We will make copies of these and return your originals to you immediately. Once you arrive, you will need to fill out an information sheet so that the attorney may better assist you. After your consultation, you will have the option to retain the services of Kerr Law Group.
How long does the divorce process take?
For a variety of reasons, your case may take an extended period of time to complete. A good idea is to anticipate at least a full year in order to completely resolve your case. Kerr Law Group will, of course, help you resolve your matter in an expeditious manner.
How much will this cost?
Every case is unique. The details and intricacies are particular to you and your family. Therefore, Kerr Law Group is unable to give a financial estimate until you have met with an attorney for a consultation. At that time, expenses pertaining to your case may be discussed.
